The skateboarding community has always been a beacon of creativity, resilience, and connection. This year, Tivoli Vredenburg’s Canvas theme, "What Family Really Means to You", provided the perfect platform to highlight these values. Among 14 incredible creatives showcasing their visual projects, we were proud to present our visual "We Ride It Out".
A Tribute to the local Skateboarding Culture
"We Ride It Out" is a tribute to the skateboarding community. Through this project, we showcased skaters expressing themselves, embracing trial and error, and finding freedom on the asphalt. The result was an authentic portrayal of what it means to belong to a community that transcends age, origin, and background.
This project emphasized the unspoken bond among skaters who gather daily, forming connections that go beyond the surface. Their shared passion creates a sense of belonging and solidarity that truly defines family.
Behind the Scenes of "We Ride It Out"
The creative process was a collaborative effort. Marc-Anthony (founder Noble Goods Co.) and Xaveer conceptualized the idea, crafting a compelling visual deck that encapsulated the essence of the skateboarding community. Derek took charge of production, transforming the concept into a tangible masterpiece despite tight deadlines and bad weather.

With only two days to film, the crew locked in at Skatepark Utrecht, catching local skaters in their element. To add depth, we combined these fresh shots with archival footage. The project’s voice-over, recorded by Marc-Anthony with support from Zakaria's DIY music studio added an emotive narrative layer that tied everything together.
Prior to the launch we got invited to do a podcast episode about our work. You can listen to the podcast below.
